Zero Waste Budget
The Zero Waste budget discussed the request for $3,000. The committee previously voted on this, but additional detailed information was provided. The request was for the same amount as last year and has been approved without reconsideration.
Human Rights Commission (HRC) Budget
The HRC requested $10,000, an increase due to their need for separate email addresses and additional funds for training and events. There was significant discussion regarding the necessity and cost of acquiring separate email addresses. The possibility of using town email addresses was questioned, as well as the comprehensiveness of the provided budget details. There were suggestions to lower the request or require the commission to come back with more details before approving the increase. After discussion, it was motioned to table the budget for the HRC until further details are provided and clarified.
Disabilities Commission Budget
The Disabilities Commission confirmed it would not request additional funds. The budget details are still pending. The committee will follow up to try to obtain the budget within the next week and revisit the issue if needed.
